Angel Tree
Give the Gift of Joy & Essentials: Support the Angel Giving Campaign
This holiday season, you can be an Angel for a student in need at the Murray City School District. Your donation provides a happier holiday for hundreds of Murray’s underserved students and ensures they have the essentials they need year-round.
We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with Fashion Place Mall to host the 2025 Angel Tree. Join us for the official “Love, Murray: Heart for the Holidays” Angel Tree Kickoff event on Thursday, November 14th at 6:00 PM at the mall that features inspiring music and messages of hope!
Your Donation is a Direct Act of Kindness
Every dollar you contribute is strategically used to provide relief and hope for students and their families. Your generosity directly funds essential items and holiday wishes for Murray students in need:
- Fulfilling Wishes and Essential Needs: Donations are used to purchase the essential needs and specific wish list items listed on the Angel Tags, such as warm winter clothing, shoes, learning games, and other essentials.
- Ensuring Every Child is Covered: Your cash donation helps our team purchase gifts for any Angel Tags that are not selected from the tree, guaranteeing no child is left out.
- Year-Round Support: Funds remaining after the holiday distribution go toward providing other critical MEF programs that supply students with necessities like food, clothing, and school supplies throughout the entire academic year.
Stories of Impact: You Create the Magic
Your support delivers more than just a gift—it brings confidence, hope, and dignity. These stories represent the real-life impact you make:
The Gift of Warmth
For a seventh-grader we’ll call Leo, the Angel Tree meant more than a holiday gift—it meant dignity. His family had recently moved, and his old coat was too small and tattered. When he opened the box to find a new, warm winter coat, he didn’t just see a piece of clothing; he saw the ability to walk to the bus stop without shivering and the confidence to focus on his classes, not the cold.
A Spark of Creativity
Little Maria, a third-grade student, always dreamed of being an artist but lacked the necessary supplies. Her Angel Tag wish was simple: “a big box of color pencils.” When she received a professional-grade art kit, complete with sketchpads and a vibrant set of 60 pencils, her mother later shared that Maria spent the entire holiday break creating a beautiful gallery of drawings, a true spark for her future.
A Happy Christmas Morning
David, a kindergartner, had only one toy on his list: a simple, red fire truck. His Angel ensured that not only did David get his fire truck, but his parents also received a collection of books and games for his older siblings. The collective relief and joy on Christmas morning, knowing their children were cared for, was the true gift this campaign delivered.
