Along with creating meaningful and fun memories, these events are a celebration of our educators, students, and community – demonstrating the incredible power of working together for an impactful common purpose.

Since 2004, the Murray community has been invited annually to nominate seven exceptional individuals—specifically five Outstanding Certified Educators (including teachers, administrators, and counselors), one Classified Employee (such as secretaries and custodians), and one Volunteer—for their performance and service. The public nomination period runs from the beginning of December through the end of January, with submissions reviewed by a special selection committee; the chosen finalists are then publicly announced in February and celebrated at a special gala in March, where they receive public accolades and recognition, including tributes from their students, colleagues, sponsors, and family.
