Linda Auwerda | McMillan Elementary

Linda used $300 in funding to purchase calming strips, bouncing bands, and other accessories to help students focus and engage.

As part of student emotional learning at McMillan, Linda purchased several materials such as fidgets and bands to put on desk legs. These devices help create a calming learning environment where students can release anxiety they may be experiencing.

Linda learned this and other calming techniques from a Mindfulness Class she took over the Summer through the Book Arts program at the University of Utah.
